Tafsure Tenofovir alafenamide is being studied as a stand-alone drug and as a component of fixed-dose combination (FDC) drugs to treat and prevent HIV infection.3,10 (Tenofovir alafenamide is a component of several FDA-approved FDC drugs to treat HIV. As a stand-alone drug, tenofovir alafenamide is FDA-approved to treat chronic hepatitis B virus infection [HBV].
